The extension of the existing switchyard at Maffra Zone Substation has been a great showcase of the strong connection PCS has built in the Gippsland region. Utilising local contractors to aid in a variety of specific services, the PCS Gippsland team have excelled across their project scope, continuing to work closely with our client Zinfra and the local community of contractors to deliver an exceptional standard of work to date.
The PCS scope includes bulk earthworks, construction of new cast-insitu concrete footings, installation of conduits and drainage, as well as other general civil construction works. The works have played an integral role in the important infrastructure upgrade of a switch yard that provides vital electricity access to nearly 10,000 homes and businesses.
